Farid Ayubi

Long Time Community Organizer & Advocate

Farid moved to Lagun with his wife Suzy with the dream of having a farm on her ancestral land… until the landfill moved in across the street. He was one of the first to sound the alarm of environmental destruction in Bonaire decades ago, but it has taken years for this problem to get any attention.

Farid now works with Pro Lagun to organize the community around this shared cause and is one of our fiercest advocates. As a powerful storyteller with a long memory, Farid can always be counted on to share the history of the barrio.
